HIV in King County: Demographics Differ From National Trend

The latest statistics available for King County, Wash., demonstrated that the county had more than 7,000 reported HIV/AIDS cases as of April 2013. The majority of diagnosed individuals were Caucasian males between 20–40 years old.

This demographic varied from that for AIDS cases nationally, where greater than 50 percent of HIV/AIDS diagnoses comprised people of color.
