ALFA Offers Free Community Health Educator Training in Hickory


The AIDS Leadership Foothills-Area Alliance (ALFA) will offer free community health educator training on Saturday, June 22, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Area Health Education Center Conference Room at Hickory, N.C.’s Catawba Valley Medical Center campus.

The training, offered during HIV/AIDS Testing Awareness Week, will provide light refreshments and does not require registration. Participants will learn about HIV/AIDS transmission and how to counsel and refer individuals to appropriate community resources.
