Walker Signs Bevy of Bills into New Laws

Gov. Scott Walker signed 51 pieces of legislation into law on Thursday, his office announced Friday.

Among these, the state’s new sex education law requires schools that teach the topic to stress marriage and tell students that abstinence is the only reliable way to prevent STD infection and pregnancy.

Wisconsin has barred abstinence-only sex education since 2010; the new law rescinds that ban.
