HIV/AIDS prevention and education
will be the focus of the third session in the Urban League of Greater
Chattanooga’s first annual Health Symposia Series.
The June 26 event will include
updates on state and local efforts to stop the spread of HIV and to educate
residents on the resources available for those living with the virus; focus
groups also will be conducted to gather ideas for supporting and expanding the
work.
The meeting will take place from 9
a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Urban League, Kingdom Center room. Lunch will be
provided; RSVP by e-mailing Lragins@ulchatt.net. Also: ULGC will recognize
National HIV Testing Day on June 27 by partnering with Chattanooga Cares to
offer free HIV testing at the Urban League from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.; no
appointment is needed.
