Elton John to Write Memoir of His HIV/AIDS Efforts

Sir Elton John will write his first book about his personal experiences fighting HIV/AIDS, according to an Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) statement.

The book, titled Love Is the Cure: Ending the Global AIDS Epidemic, will feature stories about people such as Ryan White and Freddie Mercury and will highlight EJAF’s HIV prevention, stigma eradication and service programs.

The book’s release will coincide with the XIX International AIDS Conference, held July 2012 in Washington, DC. Proceeds from book sales will benefit EJAF.
