CDC has awarded the Delaware Division of Public Health $704,118 for its HIV prevention efforts. The funded programs will seek to reduce new infections, increase access to care, improve outcomes for patients, and promote health equity.
The money will support the division’s efforts to increase HIV testing and to link those with the virus to medical care and other services. Sens. Tom Carper and Chris Coons, and Rep. John Carney, all Democrats, announced the grant on Jan. 5.
The Friends of AIDS Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for HIV positive individuals and empowering people to make healthy choices to prevent the spread of the HIV virus. To learn more about The Friends of AIDS Foundation, please visit: http://www.friendsofaids.org.
