Free HIV Testing and Treatment in Memphis

Shelby County and local churches on Dec. 4 will seek to raise AIDS awareness as part of the “Know Now, Live Longer” campaign, an effort to spread the word about the availability of free HIV testing and treatment in the Mid-South region.

Nicole Benson, who was diagnosed with HIV in 1996 after a sexual assault, credits the Ryan White program with helping her access care and stay connected with other patients. “I am a peer mentor; I can help you; I can walk with you on this journey and help you live a long, healthy life,” Benson said.
