T&TEC Gives $50,000 to HIV/AIDS Prevention


The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) recently donated $50,000 to several nongovernmental organizations involved in HIV/AIDS education and care.

Kelvin Ramsook, T&TEC’s general manager, explained that the company’s corporate social responsibility prescribed that it participate in nation building and that the company had a commitment to members of the national community.

T&TEC’s HIV/AIDS Workplace Education Committee will soon complete an impact assessment of its work as well as train 30 more peer educators to increase its number to 53.
