Drug Company Donates Thousands to HIV/AIDS Organizations

Janssen Therapeutics, a division of New Brunswick, N.J.-based pharmaceutical company Johnson & Johnson, announced they will provide up to $30,000 in grants and/or charitable donations to 16 organizations, four of which are in the New York metropolitan area.

The funding will increase awareness and provide treatment to HIV-positive individuals. Janssen will use their three-year-old pilot program, Linking in Need Communities to Care (LINCC), to make the donations. Through LINCC, Janssen has donated more than $1.6 million to service organizations across the nation since 2010.
