Road to AIDS 2012 Town Hall

Community members will be invited to speak out about HIV/AIDS at a meeting held in the run-up to next year’s XIX International AIDS Conference in Washington.

“Road to AIDS 2012: An HIV/AIDS Town Hall” will take place Sept. 30 at San Francisco City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place.

The meeting begins with a reception at 5 p.m.; the discussion following is set to last until 9 p.m.

Sponsored by a grant from the Merck Co. Foundation, this will be the first of 15 town halls to be held across the country in an effort to ensure that community voices are heard in the development of a domestic platform for the conference.

The Friends of AIDS Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for HIV positive individuals and empowering people to make healthy choices to prevent the spread of the HIV virus. To learn more about The Friends of AIDS Foundation, please visit: http://www.friendsofaids.org.
