ACTION ALERT -> Obama-ADAP Twitter Day is September 15th!

The ADAP Advocacy Association, also known as aaa+, announced that it is spearheading a national "Obama-ADAP Twitter Day," which will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2011 after 7AM.

The purpose of the campaign is to raise awareness about the growing waiting lists under the AIDS Drug Assistance Programs in the USA by leveraging one of the leading social media outlets.

"President Obama recently said that his Administration is committed to hearing from the American people, and we plan to make our voice heard on the ADAP crisis using Twitter," said Brandon M. Macsata, CEO of aaa+.

There are presently 9,066 people on waiting lists in 11 states in the USA, according to the National Association of State and Territorial AIDS Directors.

Now it is time to start the 'ADAP Fall, which will bring change to the beleaguered AIDS Drug Assistance Programs in the USA and the thousands of people living with HIV/AIDS being forced to go without their life-saving medications.

Twitter users are asked to do the following on Thursday, September 15th starting anytime after 7:00am:

> Send Tweets hourly

> Use Twitter hashtag #ObamaADAP in the same Tweet

> Direct Tweets at President Obama with handle @whitehouse

> Encourage friends and colleagues to Tweet, too!
