Newman's Own Donates $50K to Community Servings

Community Servings, The Jamaica Plain, Massachusetts nonprofit, has received $50,000 in funding from Newman’s Own Foundation. The award to the nonprofit, which serves meals to those diagnosed with HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses, was made as part of Newman’s Own Foundation’s nutrition-related funding initiative.

The award will allow Community Servings to develop a program titled the “Family Nutrition Initiative,” which will encompass a series of nutrition education workshops for children and family members targeted to those who have newly transitioned to housing.

The Friends of AIDS Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for HIV positive individuals and empowering people to make healthy choices to prevent the spread of the HIV virus. To learn more about The Friends of AIDS Foundation, please visit: http://www.friendsofaids.org.
