The 21st annual Indiana AIDS Walk and Ride is set for Saturday, Oct. 8, at University Park-Indiana War Memorial in downtown Indianapolis.
The Marion County Public Health Department is the presenting sponsor of the walk, which raises funds for agencies that provide direct care and financial assistance through the Gregory R. Powers Direct Emergency Financial Assistance fund. The money is used to pay utility, housing, medical and prescription bills for those with HIV/AIDS, as well as to provide help with transportation and nutrition.
