Nutrition and HIV: HIV Medications and the Foods We Eat

On March 10, the Office of Minority Health (OMH) will conduct a webinar entitled:"Nutrition and HIV: HIV Medications and the Foods We Eat"

Nutrition is a fundamental part of care for everyone; however, it is especially important for people living with chronic conditions, such as HIV/AIDS and/or diabetes. March marks National Nutrition Month, which promotes making informed food choices as well as developing healthy eating and activity habits. In addition, March 20th commemorates the fifth National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day, which promotes creating awareness of the risk of HIV/AIDS among Native communities and decreasing the occurrence of HIV/AIDS among Native people.

This webinar will address HIV/AIDS medications and nutrition for Native communities. It will also provide information to help participants answer common questions that may arise while working with people living with HIV/AIDS.

This training is open to agencies and individuals, OMH grantees, OMH Resource Center awardees as well as general representatives from tribal communities.
