Study: Most Teenagers Use Condoms, Most Adults Don’t

In the United States, most teenagers use condoms—but less than half of adults do, according to a new study from Indiana University and reported by The New York Times. Among sexually active 14- to 17-year-olds, 80 percent of boys and 69 percent of girls said they used a condom the last time they had intercourse. The study surveyed a wide range of sexual behavior. It had 5,865 participants from ages 14 to 94, including about 800 people younger than 18. Church & Dwight, the maker of Trojan condoms, financed the study, but researchers said the company had no undue influence.
