Brazilian condom manufacturer Olla
recently recalled 620,000 condoms due to a potential defect in quality control.
“The recall is a preventive measure
since a possible lapse in quality has been identified that could make the
product unfit for use,” Olla said in a statement. The five different lots
involved are lubricated condoms distributed in promotional packs of eight for
the price of six, said Olla, which recalled the products in response to an
uptick in consumer complaints.
The condoms should not be used but
kept in the packaging, said Olla. Customers can contact the service department
to return the condoms for a free replacement, the company said.
